Casting Director Craig Campobasso <\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span>will speak on the art of casting and being cast. For directors<\/strong>, how to get the actors you need. \u00a0For actors<\/strong>, how to get the roles you want. \u00a0Mr. Campobasso, a veteran of 60 major projects as a casting director, will share practical advice for film professionals on both sides of the camera.<\/div>\n

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:<\/strong>
\nFresh out of high school, California native Craig Campobasso <\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span>found himself working behind the scenes for four years on Frank Herbert\u2019s\u00a0Dune<\/em>. The father and daughter producing team, Dino and \u00a0Raffaella De Laurentiis, and director David Lynch, were Craig\u2019s mentors into the business of filmmaking. Raffaella later hired him on the popular Christmas movie\u00a0Prancer<\/em>, starring Sam Elliott, as a casting director after he apprenticed as a casting associate on Steven Spielberg\u2019s\u00a0Amazing Stories.<\/em>\u00a0Craig has been casting for more than two decades and was nominated for an Emmy for casting David E. Kelly\u2019s\u00a0Picket Fences<\/em>. He is also an acting coach in the Los Angeles area.<\/span><\/p>\n
