For this month’s meeting we have a very special guest. Michael Matzdorff is coming down from Hollywood to discuss feature film workflows with Final Cut Pro X.

For those of you that don’t know Michael was the 1st Assistant Editor on the film “Focus.” This was the first feature to be cut in Final Cut Pro X. Michael literally wrote the book on this process. And you can purchase that book at http://fcpxfeatures.co/ I’ve read it and can guarantee you it will not only speed up your workflow on narrative, but will help you organize your footage in ways you never thought of.

A couple important notes on this meeting. We will not be meeting at the usual spot. As we expect a bigger audience we will be meeting at Groovy Like a Movies studio in Kearny Mesa. Additionally Robin and Mike have agreed to compensate Michael for his travel and knowledge to the tune of half his day rate, which is a total of $300. We are asking for a $5 donation at the door to help defer this cost.

Time/Date: Monday, January 11, 2016  at 7 PM – 9 PM

Location: Groovy Like a Movie
5205 Kearny Villa Way, Ste 100, San Diego, California 92123
